Tyler "Ninja" Blevins

Richard Tyler Blevins, better known by his online alias "Ninja," is an online streamer, YouTuber, and professional gamer. He gained fame for playing "Fortnite Battle Royale" and broke viewer count records on Twitch after playing the game with Drake, Travis Scott, and JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Ninja's Twitch channel has grown to over 19 million followers by March 2024, making it the most-followed Twitch channel. His YouTube channel also enjoyed significant growth, accumulating more than 23.7 million subscribers and a combined total of 2.50 billion views. Apart from his streaming success, Ninja has played competitively for "Halo 3" as part of several esports teams, most notably Cloud9, Renegades, Team Liquid, and Luminosity Gaming.

Among his many achievements, Blevins was the first professional esports player to be featured on the cover of ESPN The Magazine in September 2018. He also partnered with MasterClass in 2022 to create a 30-day curriculum on how to become a successful streamer. He has been rewarded for his efforts in building his impressive streaming career with Creator Awards for reaching subscriber milestones on YouTube, including 100,000 in 2017, 1,000,000 in 2018, and 10,000,000 in 2018.

Besides gaming, Ninja has also ventured into television and film. He appeared in various episodes of "Family Feud" in 2015 and returned as a contestant on "Celebrity Family Feud" in 2019. He has also made cameo appearances in films such as "Free Guy" and "Hotel Transylvania: Transformania."

Beyond his online persona, Blevins is also recognized for his philanthropy. He has raised significant funds for several charities, including the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. At the "Fortnite Pro-Am" event in 2018, which he won alongside electronic musician Marshmello, Blevins donated the $1 million prize to a charity of their choice.

In 2024, Blevins revealed he was diagnosed with melanoma and has since announced that he was officially cancer-free following a biopsy. He continues to be a substantial figure in the gaming industry today, with his persona extending beyond his gaming achievements to include his YouTube content, published books, and charity work.
